9.2 Developer Services Menu

The Developer Services facility can be invoked by pressing the Messages function key, the user will then be prompted with the Developer Services "Action Box" from which any of these options may be selected:

Working from this screen you can select an option to:

• Display LANSA/Workstation messages. This allows you to display all the messages that have been issued by LANSA and any other messages that are currently in the message queue for the workstation that you are currently working.

• Work with developer messages. Allows you to create, change, review, delete, print and send developer messages. This option will only be available from the Developer Services menu if the ALLOW_MSGS parameter of the LANSA command is set to "*YES".

• Execute an IBM i command which allows you to execute an IBM i command via an IBM i command line. This option will only be available from the Developer Services menu if the DEVELOPER parameter of the LANSA command is set to "*YES" and the IBM i operating system is at Release 1.0 Version 3.0 (V1R3) or higher.

• User defined exit program 01 - 03 to allow you to call up to 3 user defined developer services programs. This option will only be available from the Developer Services menu if the DEVELOPER parameter of the LANSA command is set to "*YES" and user defined developer programs have been specified in the extended information data area DC@A07.
