3.9.1 Batch Control Table Name

Mandatory.

The name of the physical or index that is to be maintained by this batch control logic. This is table that will hold the accumulated totals from the currently selected table.

Rules

• The physical or index specified must exist in the repository.

• The table specified cannot contain batch control logic itself.

Tips & Techniques

• If the specified table contains batch control and causes a problem, investigate moving the batch control logic from the nominated "batch control table" to this table (the table definition currently being worked with). In most cases this technique will satisfy all batch control requirements.
