Objective
In this exercise, you will copy a supplied stand alone Employee Application. It will run locally on the desktop using a local SQL Server database. Complete this exercise if you do not have access to an IBM i server which would enable a client/server application to be deployed, or if you simply want to deploy a desktop application.
Later you will make small changes to this application in order to deploy a patch and then a new version.
To achieve the objectives, you must complete the following:
Step 1. Import the supplied Employee Application
Step 2. Copy the Supplied Employee Application
Step 3. Test the Stand Alone Employees Application
Once you have completed this exercise, continue with DTE050 – Create Version 1 Package.
