Before You Begin Checklist
Before you begin your development of fields in the Repository, it is recommended that the following checklist be reviewed:

The purpose, concepts and architecture of the LANSA Repository are understood so that your development efforts will properly centralize application information.

All Repository development procedures, standards and guidelines are known by/available to every member of the project team. (Refer to 1.2.2 Centralizing Information in a Repository and Development Environment Administration in the Visual LANSA Administration Guide.)

LANSA Object naming standards and guidelines are known by/available to every member of the project team. (Refer to Field Naming Standards and the LANSA Object Names in the LANSA Technical Reference Guide.)

All field level Repository features have been identified and development impacts are understood. (Refer to How are Repository Fields Used?)

A decision has been made regarding the use of the Corporate Data Dictionary Concept.

You have read the 1.5.2 Developing with Fields section of this guide and you have identified the methods that will be used to create fields in the Repository.
