Step 1. Locate the LANSA Scalable Stack
1. Go to aws.amazon.com/marketplace.
2. In the search box type LANSA Scalable Stack and press Enter.
3. Select the LANSA Scalable Stack. The LANSA Scalable Stack details are displayed.
4. Browse the page to ensure it's suitable for your purposes and then click on the Continue to Subscribe button.
5. Review the pricing information and accept the terms for the software. Wait a short time for the subscription to be actioned.
6. Click on the Continue to Configuration button.
7. Select the Delivery Method. Choose the LANSA Scalable Stack option. The LANSA Scalable Stack Custom option is the same template as the LANSA Scalable Stack its just that the latter simplifies the Database configuration and Web Server configuration. For details, view the template as directed at the end of this section and look for the Mapping named StackDifferences.
8. Select the Software Version. This is the LANSA Scalable Stack version. It is not related to the LANSA product version. Choosing the latest version is usually appropriate. A list of the supported Windows Server versions is displayed too. You will select which one when running the template.
9. Choose which Region to launch the stack in and click Continue to Launch.
10. Confirm the configuration and click Launch.
11. You may view the template in the designer by clicking the View in Designer button. If you are here to obtain the AMI Ids for use in your own template, then detailed instructions are provided in the next step CTE030 – Obtain AMI Ids to Use in Your Own Template. Otherwise continue directly to CTE040 – Create the LANSA Stack where you will be directed from this point in the process.
