8.9 Package Manager

The Package Manager is available to manage the downloading and install of the latest LANSA packages of RDML library/examples, which are provided for increased productivity.

The Package Manager is also used to deliver the API examples and libraries (XPRIM integration services) to support Web services.

Web services allow you to extend your applications and business processes with capabilities that are provided by various third parties. For example, if your application needs to convert an address to geographic coordinates (such as latitude & longitude), you would most likely use the Google Maps Geocoding API to do that.

Read more about web services in the Consuming Web Services Guide.
