This guide has been developed with end users in mind.

• It contains all you need to know about using LANSA Client's query capabilities.
  It includes the LANSA Client Tutorials which are step by step descriptions of the most common uses of LANSA Client. It is a good place to start if you are unfamiliar with LANSA Client's features and the best way to use them. The LANSA Client Tutorials are designed to be used with either an IBM i, Windows or Linux host.

  This guide describes the options which can be selected as defaults. Specifying the defaults that suit your environment allow you to save time and maintain standards when developing LANSA Client queries. It shows you how to create and distribute a LANSA Client environment file which includes these defaults.

 

• Note: For this version of LANSA Client to function correctly, you must first upgrade your LANSA host to V13 SP2 using the latest EPC or later.

The LANSA Client software must be installed on each user's PC. Instructions for installing and upgrading LANSA Client are included in Appendix A. LANSA Client Installation and Upgrade in the Administrator's Guide.
