Before You Start

Who Should Use the Tutorials?

Tutorials can be used by novice or experienced LANSA developers who wish to learn how to use RAMP-TS. No advanced Visual LANSA knowledge is required.

How Do I Use the Tutorials?

It is recommended that you complete the tutorials in sequence. Complete the exercises related to the style of application that you are creating.

To allow for more than one developer to use the tutorials, all LANSA object names in the tutoirals will be prefixed with iii to be substituted by your own initials.

What Partition Should I Use?

You need to use an RDMLX-enabled partition.

It is recommended that you use the DEM partition for the tutorial. It contains the Personnel System demonstration and all required files used by the tutorial. (Installing the Personnel System is an option in Partition Initialization.)
