Import Table Definitions is used to populate the LANSA repository with the details of tables created and maintained outside of LANSA in products such as SQL Server or MySQL.
Nearly all native data types are now supported. During the import the native data types are converted to LANSA field types.
The import makes the tables accessible to LANSA applications, and it also creates fields, representing the table columns, which can be used as visual controls and variables in code.
